OLD LYME CONNECTICUT

STAY AND PLAY IN OUR BEAUTIFUL LITTLE OLD TOWN

The Old Lyme Inn is located on historic Lyme Street in beautiful Old Lyme, CT. The epitome of a small New England town, Old Lyme is home to wonderful museums, specialty shops, beaches and leisure activities. The Old Lyme Inn is conveniently located right off exit 70 on I-95, and is situated almost exactly between Boston and New York City. Old Lyme is the perfect stop for experiencing the beautiful Connecticut shoreline, Fall foliage, specialty shopping, and locally owned and operated restaurants.

Since the late 1800's, however, Old Lyme has primarily been known as a thriving art community. The art community is specifically centered on the post Civil War American Impressionism art movement. Right across from the Old Lyme Inn is the Florence Griswold Museum, which is considered one of the epicenters of art in this community. Next door to the Florence Griswold Museum is the Lyme Art Association, and down the street is the prestigious Lyme Academy College of Fine Arts. Lyme Street and its neighboring roads are home to many wonderful art galleries as well.
